REPORT FROM PAT SPRATT GDA

  • Jun 24,2015
  • U13 2002 players will be starting their North Region Development Squad training over the next few weeks with one hurling and one football session every week.
  • Cul Camps- I will be visiting clubs over the next few weeks to help out with coaching their coaches before the camps and calling to the camps when they begin. I'm delighted to see there are a great number of North Region Clubs now running Cul Camps.
  • Munster U10 Monster Cross Inter- Provencial Blitzes will be taking place on July 18th. Hurling venues are Carriganore and Dr. Morris Park. Football venues are Mallow and Rathkeale (One for the Diary, Great Day Out!)
  • MUNSTER PROVINCIAL U12 ACTIVITY DAYS. The concept is to open up county stadiums to u12 club teams for blitz days. Clubs will get the opportunity to play 3 games on the famed turf and get a stadium tour along with a questions and answers session with an inter county player. Clubs will benefit from playing teams they have not played before from other counties. Games are 11 a side with unlimited substitutions. The games are blitz based as opposed to tournaments so there are no winners/losers on the day. The games will be played during working hours. (10am - 4pm) Clubs will be expected to attend for no longer than 2 hours at a venue. There is no official grading but Munster will try to group clubs according to size where possible.
