Avondhu Board League Bye Laws 2015


BYE LAWS/REGULATIONS FOR AVONDHU LEAGUES 2015

1.Starting dates For 2015; Football Leagues to start on W/E 9th Feb, Hurling Leagues to start on  W/E 16th March

2.WALKOVERS
Walkovers or conceding points to an opposing team will not be allowed in any circumstances in any League Competition in either Hurling or Football. 
Points can only be awarded to a team once the fixture has been made and the board notified
(a) UNFULFILLED FIXTURES – PENALTIES
€100 fine for each unfulfilled fixture 2 Unfulfilled fixtures results in Disqualification 
(b) League results shall be credited as follows: 2 points for a win, and one for a draw.
(c) If a Club is Disqualified or Retires during the course of the League Stage, its played
Games shall stand and its unplayed Games shall be awarded to the Opposing Teams.
(d) Where Teams finish with equal points for qualification for the concluding stages, or
for promotion or relegation, the tie shall be decided by the following means and in the order specified.
(i) Where two teams only are involved – the outcome of the meeting of the two teams in the previous game in the Competition
(ii) Scoring difference (subtracting the total scores against from total scoresfor
(iii) Highest Total Score for.
Exceptions to (d): In relation to means (ii) and (iii) above, if the
accumulated scores of a team, so involved, are affected by a
disqualification, retirement or walkover, the tie shall be decided by a Playoff.

3.Where the appointed referee fails to attend, agreement must be reached between the two sides on a substitute referee by either tossing or agreement .Failure to comply with this rule will result in forfeiture of the league points for the club failing to agree. In the event of  a game been cancelled or changed the onus is on the Home team to contact the Referee  

4.All games will be played on the scheduled Sunday at 3pm, evening games at 7.30pm unless an agreement of the clubs concerned has been reached . Any changes agreed of date or time must be notified to the Board at its meeting when fixture is being ratified. No contact from clubs will mean the Board assumes the dates as per the league programmed are acceptable. No postponements will be granted once the game is ratified. No change of date or time permitted after a date or time is ratified unless agreed by both Clubs

5.The first named team has the home venue but if same is not available, the game must be played opponent’s venue.  If opponent’s venue is not available, an alternative venue must be found.

6.In Division 2 Football League, there will be semi-finals and finals.
In Division 3 Football League, there will be semi-finals and finals
Promotion and relegation - Football
The two finalists in Division 2 will be promoted to Division 1.  The two finalists in Division 3 will be promoted to Division 2.  Bottom two teams in Division 1 will be relegated to Division 2 for the following year.  Bottom two teams in Division 2 will be relegated to Division 3 for the following year.
Promotion and relegation - Hurling
The two finalists in Division 2 will be promoted to Division 1.  The two finalists in Division 3 will be promoted to Division 2.  Bottom two teams in Division 2 will be relegated to Division 3 for the following year.
In Division 2 Hurling League, there will be semi-finals and finals.
In Division 3 Hurling League, there will be semi-finals and finals
A Club can only be relegated on the Field of Play

7.A team who’s status is Junior A in football Championship or  Junior A in the Hurling Championship will not be allowed to be in either the Division 3 football League or the Division 3 Hurling League.

8.The Entry Fees for the League Competitions 2015 are as Follows;
•    €100 for a Clubs 1st Team Weather that team by in Div 1,2, or 3 in Hurling or Football
•   €50 for a Club to enter a 2nd Team in the Leagues

9.The final date in which leagues will be finished (including finals) will be for football Div 2 & 3 W/E June 30th   Div1 W/E 6th  July, and for Hurling Div 2 & 3 W/E July 31st  Div 1 W/E 10 Aug.
